What a fantastic museum and what story could be more interesting ? from hotel to museum ! The collection of antique guns is quite staggering, The N.R.A. museum has about 2,000 guns, and this museum has several times more than that. The museum has other displays that will be of interest to those of you who don't collect guns.
The museum curator is Mr Jason Schubert, an incredible pistol shooter with quite staggering knowledge concerning the items on display in the museum.
Jason is only too happy to talk to you , answer your questions and pass on the stories and facts about the guns in the collection. My advice to any historian or gun collector, is to get yourself over to Claremore Oklahoma and spend the day or two in this incredible museum.
They have a Law and Order display and guns attributed to gangsters such as Bonnie Parker of " Bonnie & Clyde" and "Pretty Boy Floyd" along with others.

I have been buying my parts and accessories from the great Dixie Gun Works for quite a few years. They have a huge range of Colt percussion parts, and the last time I was there in Union City Tennessee I was able to get the springs I needed to repair my Model 1860 Army. I recommend a visit there as it really is a great experience ! In addition to their world famous shop, they have a terrific vintage car museum, and I spent just as much time in the car museum as I did in the shop. Highly recommended, thank you to all the staff there who are always so helpful.

The Gilbert Indoor Range has a gun shop, 25 Handgun and Rifle lanes (75 feet long) and a Large Selection of Guns Available for Rent.
I have shot here twice, and it was here where I shot my first AK47 in 7.62 x 39
The range is owned and run by a terrific gentleman called Mr Richard Gilbert, and he is very friendly, understanding and welcomes shooters from UK especially because we have lost our pistol target shooting due to the ban on all modern handguns.

By far the best clay shoot in our area is JJ's.
JJ's Clay Shooting Club is set in 16 acres of the natural woodlands of Darenth Woods, near Bean ideally situated from Junction 2 of the M25 (2 minutes drive) and the Dartford Bridge (5 minutes drive). They are open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for 70 bird practice and lessons., and SUNDAY IS COMPETITION DAY !
Competition Sunday.
The shoot is set so that novice shooters can still be busting clay targets along with the more seasoned clay shooter but still challenging enough for the more experienced shots. The shoot layout is changed weekly to offer a variety of interesting and challenging targets for all to enjoy. They have a large car park with toilet facilities. Opening times are 10.00am until 2.00pm (last entries).

In less than 2 hours from any of the London airports, you can fly to the incredible Bohemian city of Prague . There are many shooting facilities in and around Prague, but one is significantly better than all the others put together. I recommend Strelnice Avim Praha 100%. I have shot there dozens of times, and it is without doubt the best place in Europe.
They have a large number of revolvers and semi automatic pistols for hire, they even have the latest CZ Scorpion !
They are very easy to find, the easiest way is exit the Metro station Florenc and turn right at the Billa Supermarket. Cross the road and walk past Albert Supermarket, and before you reach the bridge you will see Avim Shooting Range on the left.
